In short, we're asking for new people to join the Steering committee. And I'm offering a class both about the group's Wiki and how to create your own Wiki.

  - The Steering Committee - Goal, bring new blood to the Steering Committee
      * We're looking for new people to join and help us make decisions about the running of the group and the content of future meetings.
      * You can be involved as much or as little as you want.
      * What do members of the Steering Committee do?
        * Suggest and discuss ideas on meeting topics
        * Helps run the occasional planning meeting (GASP meetings) - be there and offer your thoughts and ideas
        * Helps speakers to use a hybrid (online, in-room) environment
        * A subgroup manages the online presence, the Wiki with past and future meetings information
        * A subgroup helps set up the connection to the Lex Community Center for the weekly meetings

  - A Class on the Group's Wiki - Steve's goal, someone to serve as a backup
      * How does a Wiki work
      * How does the Doku Wiki, the application used by LCTG, work
      * What does it take to create a wiki
      * What does it take to maintain it
      * We can explore the behind-the-scenes
      * Learn how Steve uses the Doku Wiki to show information on upcoming and past meetings
      * Optionally, how you can help

Hello everyone,

We’re looking for **new people to join the Steering Committee**, and I’m also offering a **class on our group’s Wiki**  — including how you can create a wiki of your own.

The Steering Committee keeps our group running smoothly and helps plan future meetings. \\ We’d love to bring in **fresh perspectives and ideas**. \\ Your involvement can be **as much or as little as you like**  — every bit helps!

**What the Steering Committee does:**

  * Suggests and discusses ideas for future meeting topics
  * Helps run the occasional planning meeting (our **"GASP" meetings**)
  * Manages our **online presence**, including the Wiki with past and upcoming meeting info
  * Coordinates with the **Lex Community Center**  for weekly meeting logistics
  * Sets up and stores away the equipment to support the weekly meetings at the LCC

  * What a Wiki is and how it works
  * How our **DokuWiki**  platform is set up for LCTG
  * What’s involved in **creating and maintaining a Wiki**

  * *(Optional)* How you can help maintain our Wiki and serve as a backup

Whether you just want to **learn**  or are open to **helping out**, this will be a **hands-on, practical session**.
