A short beep-beep-beep when opening the door with no lights on is usually normal.

Explanation:

• The control panel goes into sleep mode after inactivity.
• Opening the door wakes the control board, producing a short triple beep.

Signs this is normal:

The dishwasher includes a built-in diagnostic cycle.

Start the test:

1. Close the door.
2. Press three buttons (not Start or Cancel) in this pattern:

Button1 → Button2 → Button3

Example:

Normal → ProWash → Top Rack

Result:
