Using GoodNotes for Vocabulary & To-Do Lists

• Create a dedicated “Vocab Notebook”
  • New Notebook → name it (e.g., *Spanish Vocabulary*). 
  • Choose a paper template (grid, lined, Cornell, etc.). 
  • Add a Table of Contents page at the front with links to sections. 

• Organize by theme
  • Food & Drink
  • Travel
  • Common Verbs
  • Colors / Numbers
  • Phrases

• Enter vocabulary
  • Left column → Target word. 
  • Right column → Translation/definition. 
  • Example sentence below if useful. 
  • Handwriting is searchable later. 

• Flashcards with Study Sets
  • Convert vocab into flashcards. 
  • Uses spaced repetition for efficient review. 
  • Example: 
    • Front: el perro
    • Back: the dog (+ optional image 🐕)

• Reviewing
  • Use Study Mode daily. 
  • Export cards to Quizlet or Anki if needed. 

• Create a “Daily Planner Notebook”
  • Import a free planner PDF or use checklist pages. 
  • Use Shape tool for neat checkboxes. 

• Structure Ideas
  • Weekly Overview → big picture tasks. 
  • Daily Pages → detailed lists. 
  • Mark done items with ✅ or checkmark. 

• Linking Vocabulary + To-Dos

GoodNotes doesn’t send reminders. Options: 

• Use Apple Reminders or Apple Notes for alerts. 
• Use Craft or Things 3 for more advanced task management. 
• Use Obsidian for integrated vocab + tasks (with plugins). 

• Morning: Open Daily Planner in GoodNotes → write today’s tasks. 
• Study: Open Vocab Notebook → add new words, convert to flashcards. 
• Evening: Review Study Sets → check off completed tasks. 
• Strict deadlines: Add to Apple Reminders for notifications.
