+On/around 20July2024, I found this app Anytrans that lets me copy music, pictures, and videos between my iPhone and MacBook or PC.  I bought the family option (lets me load the app on 5 PC/Macs and unlimited iPhone/iPad devices).

+You have a number of songs on your MacBook that you want to put on the iPhone.  You don't want to sync all songs, you only want to transfer a number of them.

+  - Sync [just these songs?] and choose your iPhone as destination.
