Goodbye.
Sadly, Temple Emanuel of the Merrimack Valley (TEMV) has closed as of June 30, 2023. We held our last service on Friday, June 23, 2023.
The Temple will live on in our memories.
TEMV provided over 70 years of service to the Lowell and Eastern Massachusetts Jewish community, We were involved in community issues, helping our children learn and grow as Jews, and providing support to our community. We thank everyone for their membership, their contributions, and their support over the years.
The decision to close the doors was not an easy one, but it was unavoidable, and we wish everyone the best in the future.
Members of TEMV are mostly joining other congregations. Here are some you may want to consider:
- Temple Emanuel of Andover https://templeemanuel.net/
- Congregation Shalom of Chelmsford https://congregationshalom.org/
- Temple Shalom Emeth of Burlington https://shalom-emeth.org/
if you know of other congregations that we could list here, email me at steve@toku.us
, and let me know if I should make any changes to this page. Thanks.
